Ingredients
- •1 lb ground beef
- •8 small corn tortillas
- •1 tbsp chili powder
- •1 tsp cumin
- •1/2 tsp paprika
- •1/2 tsp garlic powder
- •1/2 tsp dried oregano
- •1/2 tsp salt
- •1 onion, diced
- •Shredded lettuce for topping
- •Diced tomato for topping
- •Shredded cheese for topping
Steps
- 1.Cook the diced onion in a pan over medium heat until softened.
- 2.Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks, then drain any excess grease.
- 3.Stir in chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, oregano, and salt; cook for another 2 minutes.
- 4.Char the tortillas directly over an open flame or in a dry skillet until lightly spotted and pliable - charring instead of just warming is what gives real taco flavor and keeps them from cracking when folded.
- 5.Fill the tortillas with the beef mixture.
- 6.Top with lettuce, tomato, and cheese.
