Ingredients
- •1 1/2 lb rib-eye, sliced thin
- •1/3 cup soy sauce
- •3 tbsp brown sugar
- •1 Asian pear, grated
- •1/4 onion, grated
- •3 cloves garlic, minced
- •1 tbsp grated ginger
- •1 tbsp sesame oil
- •2 green onions, sliced, plus more for garnish
- •1 tsp sesame seeds, for garnish
Steps
- 1.Partially freeze the beef for about 45 minutes to make it easier to slice thinly, then slice against the grain into 1/8-inch strips.
- 2.Whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, grated pear, grated onion, garlic, ginger, and sesame oil.
- 3.Marinate the beef in the mixture, covered, in the fridge for at least 1 hour, ideally overnight.
- 4.Cook the beef and green onions in a hot skillet or grill in batches until browned, about 2-3 minutes per side, then serve hot over rice, garnished with sesame seeds and extra green onion.
