Ingredients
- •8 cups cubed bread, dried out overnight or in the oven
- •1 onion, diced
- •3 celery stalks, diced
- •1/2 cup butter
- •2 cups chicken broth
- •1 tbsp poultry seasoning
- •2 tbsp fresh sage, chopped
- •1 tbsp fresh thyme leaves
- •1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
Steps
- 1.If the bread isn't already stale, dry the cubes on a baking sheet at 300°F for 20-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, so they can soak up flavor without turning mushy.
- 2.Preheat oven to 350°F.
- 3.Sauté the onion and celery in butter until softened but not browned, 7-10 minutes.
- 4.Toss the bread cubes with the vegetables, chicken broth, poultry seasoning, sage, thyme, and parsley.
- 5.Spread into a baking dish and bake for 35-40 minutes until golden on top.
